Vo Trung Hieu

Mr. Vo Trung Hieu, Managing Partner of HP Law, is an expert in commerce, contracts, import-export, customs and investment in Vietnam as well as cross-border investment. His advice to clients does not only cover legal issues but also addresses practical matters and take into account commercial and business factors.

Before obtaining his Master degree in International Business Management in 2004 from London Metropolitan University in the UK, Mr. Hieu received his bachelor degree from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law.

Mr. Hieu is a qualified lawyer of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and a member of the Vietnam Bar Federation.

In addition to his native Vietnamese, Mr. Hieu can speak fluent English and basic Mandarin.

Vu Thu Hang

With more than 20 years of practice, Ms. Hang, Partner of HP Law, has gained rich legal experience involved international as well as domestic matters in areas such as foreign investment, M&A, securities, corporate, and competition. Before joining HP Law, Ms. Hang worked as a senior associate at Baker & McKenzie (Vietnam) Limited for nearly 6 years. Ms. Hang also headed Mekong Securities Joint Stock Company’s Legal and Compliance Department where she was deeply involved in various forms of capital transactions in the Vietnam financial and securities market. She also played an active role in monitoring compliance and risk management activities of the securities company in light of strict regulations issued by the State Securities Commission.

Ms. Hang has acted as a legal consultant for the USAID-Funded "STAR" project for more than 5 years and has provided comments for various draft laws and implementing regulations such as the Competition Law, the Enterprise Law, the Investment Law, the Securities Law, and the Commercial Law.

Ms. Hang received her M.A. in 2004 from the University of Northumbria, School of Law in the UK and her B.A. from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. She also holds a MBA degree from Bolton University, the UK. She is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and the Vietnam Bar Federation.

In addition to Vietnamese as mother language, Ms. Hang can speak and advise clients in fluent English.

Tran Thanh Son 

With nearly 15 years of practice, Mr. Son has gained rich experience in M&A advisory including securities, valuation and financial due diligence, accumulated through transaction services to local and foreign companies. Mr. Son has advised for both sellside and buyside in M&A transactions; therefore, he has a deep understanding of both sides’ concerns. Before joining HPLaw as Special Counsel, Mr. Son worked at KPMG and Mekong Securities as Manager in Advisory Services, and advised for more than 30 M&A transactions in various fields such as manufacturing, plastic, seafood, rubber, retail, media and advertising industries.

Mr. Son received his MBA degree in Columbia Southern University in 2010, and obtained his BBA in 2005 from Van Lang University.

Nguyen Phuong Ha

Ms. Nguyen Phuong Ha is an experienced lawyer in commerce, corporate, contracts, and intellectual property rights. Particularly, with many years of experience of advising on real estate and construction companies, Ms. Ha has gained deep legal experience in investment, construction areas and contract matters related to real estate and construction business. Joining HPLaw as an associate in 2013, Ms. Ha specializes in domestic and foreign investment, M&A, contracts and intellectual property rights.

Ms. Ha received her B.A from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in 2007 and is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and the Vietnam Bar Federation. Ms. Ha has obtained her Master in Law in the USA.

In addition to Vietnamese as mother language, Ms. Ha can speak and advise clients in fluent English and basic French.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha earned her B.A in law from University of Economics and Law (formerly known as Economy Faculty – National University of Ho Chi Minh City). Also, Ms. Thanh Ha attended training courses related to finance and banking of University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Thanh Ha is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and the Vietnam Bar Federation.

Before joining HP Law in 2010, Ms. Thanh Ha had practiced in some prestigious law firms in Ho Chi Minh City such as VinaLaw specializing in the field of corporate, licensing and employment. Thanks to the involvement in various cases during the time at HP Law, Ms. Thanh Ha has gained substantial experience in investment, trading, real estate, employment and corporate matters.

Ms. Ha can speak and advise clients in Vietnamese and fluent English.

Dam Thi Huong Giang

Ms. Dam Thi Huong Giang has many years of experience working with domestic and foreign investors, private companies and state-owned companies operating in various fields such as education, F&B, Fintech, IT, conformity assessment, real estate business, logistics, etc. Ms. Giang has successfullyadvised many corporate clients and investors in business operations, investment licenses, commercial contracts, and labor matters. At HP Law, Ms. Giang specializes in the fields of investment and enterprises laws, market entry, M&A and contract law.

Ms. Giang received her bachelor degree in Economic Law from the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University) and is currently a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and the Vietnam Bar Federation.
